"I went to see the movie ARMAGEDDON and I LOVED it, so I went looking for the book. I was so excited when I found it. I thought it was going to be as hilarious and as well written as the movie. When I finished it I felt dirty, I felt like I had been used. I felt like hyperion just wanted my money and didn’t care whether or not they were even in the same galaxy as the movie as long as they got paid their 2 cents. The book followed the same plot line as the movie, but there was hardly any description, there was very little of the outstanding dialogue that made the movie so funny. Mr. Bolin even left out a whole scene (anyone else out there remember the animal crackers scene). If this book was based on the screenplay and the original story, pray tell why were there obvious omissions, numerous gloss overs, unnecessary condensing and just in general off the cuff writing. Bad off the cuff writing at that. This was thrown together in a hurry to catch the spill off from the movie and it shows."
