The album “All Your Summer Songs” from the band Saturday Looks Good to Me came out in 2003 and became an instant favorite of mine. I can’t believe the record came out 5 years ago, but in that time I have never tired of of. As summer slowly comes to end, here is a song to help it keep going, it’s called “Meet Me By The Water”

This is also the theme-of-sorts of Barry Jenkins’ fantastic film Medicine for Melancholy, which needs to come to DVD soon. Anyways, this is really the only Saturday Looks Good to Me album I can still listen to. As Fred Thomas got further and further away from his time in His Name is Alive, the production and songwriting has gotten progressively less interesting.
